During our Tournament Director, Matthew Murray’s previous capacity as a golf club manager
from 1982 – 1997 (including one year at Orchid Country Club) Matthew was involved with
and organized 100’s of professional, amateur, corporate & charity golf tournaments.

2. ASM shall undertake to provide the following services (“Assignment”) upon confirmation as Golf Event Organiser:

2.1 Golf Course Selection and Booking
ASM will recommend and assist with venue booking and F&B arrangement from list -
client will settle billings directly with the golf clubs after registration.

2.2 Lead up Period
• Assistance with the selection, booking and negotiations with the selected venue;
• Assistance with the preparation of all sponsorship packages and letters;
• Assistance with the preparation of sponsorship contracts;
• Assistance with the preparation of Guest of Honour and or VVIP letters;
• For repeat clients, to assistance with having a client tournament shirts autographed for auction by leading
professional golfers from major world golf tours subject to timing and availability;
• Assistance with applying and obtaining charity golf tournament permit;
• Assistance with providing and maintaining a detailed budget for the event;
• Formatting, design and placement of suitable & quality signage;
Create an online tournament information, sponsor and registration page if required;
• Assistance with the selection of a suitable Emcee / Compare;
• Assistance with recommending a suitable auctioneer if required;
• Sourcing for sponsorship, trophies and or prizes for the 2008 event wherever possible in consultation with client if required;
• Collection, packing and or transportation of gift bags and or prizes to the golf course;
• Collation of all RSVP’s / player entries and confirmation and ongoing updates;
• Printing of invitation letter with mail merge, if required;
• Preparation of all rules & player information;
• Arranging additional manpower if required;
• Training of these people for the event;
• Preparation of final timesheet for the event;
• Update format of play rules;
• Meet at VENUE for on course show around and to confirm areas for directional signage and the ideal bag drop / registration area;
• Assistance with inviting the AST, SPGA, SGA and or SLGA junior golfers, if required –
participation by a national junior could help generate press coverage;
• Assistance with ensuring that all players have a Proficiency Certificate and or registered golf handicap
These are required by all golf clubs and to qualify for insured Hole-In-One prizes;
• To craft Novelty Prizes and to suggest novelty items as prizes and gifts, if required;
• Assistance in securing a professional photographer;
• All purchases for the client event require prior discussion with and approval from client;
• All information and documents belonging to client (including database) will be confidentially handled by ASM;
• Assistance with design and production of a tournament souvenir programme;
Create a online tee time and or tee allocation sheet

2.2 Actual day of tournament
Assist client, the designated beneficiary and the VENUE in running the event including;

• Assistance with the distribution of Goodies bags at golf registration desk or in lockers;
• To ensure Hole-In-One vehicle(s) is in place;
• To ensure all players golf bags are correctly tagged and placed on correct buggies;
• To ensure all buggies are in the right staging area;
• To ensure range balls are available, if required;
• To meet and greet Guest of Honour and all VIP’s;
• To ensure all signage is displayed in correct position; and set up flags at novelty holes;
• To ensure Nearest-The-Line, Inside-the-Circle markings are prepared;
• To ensure manpower is at all novelty holes, if required;
• To ensure all manpower is positioned at correct locations / stations;
• To ensure proper communication system is in place at day of event;
• To ensure all buggies and course locations have sufficient cold beverage;
• Matthew from ASM Golf to act as Tournament Director;
• Matthew to conduct players briefing on tournament rules prior to tee off;
• Matthew to call players to tee box from clubhouse with PA system if required;
• Ensure that all players proceed to correct tee box on time;
• To ensure all photographers are in the right position;
• ASM to also take digital images of the day for future reference;
• To ensure that all Food & Beverage requirements on the day are in placed and delivered;
• Matthew to be Tournament Referee in the event of questions or rulings / disputes;
• To assist VENUE golf course Marshals in the pace of play and safety;
• To assist VENUE in ensuring players are off the course in the event of inclement weather with possible SMS service to all hand phones;
• To ensure all scorecards are properly completed and collected;
• Assist VENUE in the compilation of the results;
• Assist in setting up the presentation table and conducting the Prize presentation;
• To ensure all golf bags and belongings are removed or stored safely after event;
• Assist players to locker and ensure they will return to cocktail / dinner area;
• Assist client guests leaving the dinner area to collect their golf equipment from the lockers and assist guest to parking lot;
• Assist client to check all lockers for left items at the end of the day;
• Strategize the timing for 1st Tee off and last Tee off and alert team on their return;
• Strategize if 1-2 golfers are late, this will affect the Tee off time, to be discussed in detail;
• Oversee set up of the P.A. System / AV equipment as required which are to be part of the VENUE package;

2.3 Following the event
• Ensure all signage is removed from the VENUE;
• Ensure all unused gift bags and unclaimed prizes are returned to client
• Forward any information and photos to golf magazines and media if required
• Keep client updated if article appears in any golf publications;
• Attend a golf tournament post mortem meeting;

3. Other additional activities during the event could include some the following:-

Option 1. – Digital Comparative Swing Analysis -
Conducted by leading golf swing coach, Alan Murray

Alan and his team would film each player on the golf course and provide a glossy printout which includes
a nine (9) picture swing sequence of the golfer and write up by Alan Murray (please allow up to 2 weeks) for delivery.

Despite the slight time delay this is a very good way of thanking the participants and the event co-sponsors for taking part and their support, and providing them with a personalized gift. Example 1 and Example 2

Alan was a former National golf coach of Malaysia, Singapore & New Zealand and was responsible for training many of Malaysia’s leading professional golfers including Number 1 professional, Danny Chia.

Danny was Malaysia’s 1st professional to play in a Major golf tournament trained by Asia’s leading golf swing coach.

Option 5. – Still & Video Photography
While ASM can assist with taking some digital photos we strongly recommend that a professional photographer be engaged, so that photos can be incorporated into the event results webpage who’s link can then be sent to all participants and sponsors, please click to view an example

The photographer can also have the flight photos ready to pass to the players at the dinner, and also display the group and player photos on the large screens in the ballroom.

Video Photography is also available and can be replayed to the golfers on the screens during the dinner.
VCD’s and or DVD’s can also be made of the day

Option 6. Hole-In-One – Harley Davidson & or a car - Display and Photo shoot
