Law Society's 8th Charity Golf Tournament

Dear Member,
The Law Society will organise its 8th Annual Charity Golf Tournament in aid of the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme (CLAS) on 2 October 2005. This year we celebrate CLAS’s 20th anniversary. As always all funds raised will go towards funding CLAS to enable it to carry out its work to provide impecunious accused persons who claim trial to certain non-capital offences with free legal representation.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Law, Professor S Jayakumar, has once again kindly agreed to be our Guest-of-Honour.
VENUE
This year’s Tournament will take place on Sunday, 2 October 2005 at 7.30 am (shot gun start) at the Tanah Merah Country Club, Tampines course.
The event is open to Judges of the Supreme Court and the Subordinate Courts, members of the Society and the public. We hope to have 144 participants for this year’s Tournament.
COST OF ENTRY
If you wish to participate in the Tournament please complete the attached Memorandum and return the same together with your payment to the Society by 31 March 2005. Payment covers the cost of breakfast, luncheon, buggy and green fees.
Individual participant
(Member/non members of Tanah Merah Country Club): $ 350.00
Group flight
(Members/non members of Tanah Merah Country Club): $ 1,700.00
DONATIONS
Members who wish to make donations in support of CLAS can send their cash donations which are tax-exempt by cheque made payable to "THE LAW SOCIETY OF SINGAPORE".
The Council, CLAS committee and the organising committee look forward to members’ continued support of this tournament and we wish to thank members in advance for their support of CLAS.
