The Asian Seniors Tour founded in November 03 during the staging of the inaugural 2003 ASM @ Singapore Singapore - one of Asia's premier tourist destinations and the Jurong Country Club the birth place of the AST will once again play host to the annual ASM @ Singapore The 2008 ASM @ Singapore will be staged at Tering Bay GCC on Batam island, a short 45 minute fery ride from Singapore and will be preceeded ASM Pro-Ams where amateur golfers of any age and gender can participate. Tthe 9 best gross scoring amateur golfers form each pro-am will then progress to the ASM Amateur Semi-Finals staged in conjunction with the professional tournament, in flights comprising 2/3 AST senior pros and 1 amateur. Singapore is the vibrant gateway to South East Asia, and is renown for being a modern, efficient and clean city which boasts a well-preserved colonial-era architectural heritage, with pre-war shophouses, Chinese and Indian temples as well as Malay pasar malams rubbing shoulders with towering skyscrapers & beautifully laid-out gardens & parkland.
