from Korea was the winner of the inaugural Asian Senior
Masters tournament the 2003_ASM_@_Singapore
staged at the Jurong Country Club in November 2003.
Stewart_Ginn
a leading legend and veteran on both the US Champions
Tour and European Seniors Tour won the inaugural
2005_ASM_@_Malaysia
staged in Johor at the Palm Resort.
Stewart successfully defended
and retained his ASM @ Malaysia Title at
the 2006 ASM @ Malaysia however he was unfortunately
unable to contest missing out a hat trick 3 in a row victory
at the 2007_ASM_@
Malaysia due to a scheduling conflict
In April 2006 Stewart kindly
flew back all the way from the USA to contest the inaugural
2006_ASM_@_Phuket
which was a clean sweep for the Taiwan PGA who captured
the top 3 places at the event where Stewart
shot a total of 215 to come in joint 4th with Malaysia's leading
Senior Professional M
Ramayah
Since the AST's foundation in 2003
membership has continued to expand, and in 2008 will include
over 400 Senior Professional Golfers from all over
the world. ASM tournaments showcase a mix of some of the best
senior professional golfers from all over Asia, Australia,
New Zealand, Africa, Europe, Canada and the USA.
The AST has come a long way from its
humble beginnings and the 2006 AST schedule saw the
staging of the tour's inaugural tournament in Thailand, with
the 2006_ASM_@_Phuket
in April followed by the annual ASM @ Taiwan the ASM_@_Singapore
and ending with the ASM_@_Malaysia
The 2007 AST schedule saw Chen_Tsang_Te
from Taiwan return a final round 68, including a final-hole
birdie. Chen returned a AST record winning score of 10 under
par 206, to claim victory at the 2007_ASM_@_Malaysia
beating M Ramayah from Malaysia by a single
stroke, as both golfers birdied the last hole, .
Taiwan again emerged victorious when
Chung_Chun_Hsing
who won his first AST victory at the 2006 ASM @ Phuket
claimed his second AST victory after shooting a final round
72 to finish on an 8-under par total of 208 at the at the
AIA_Singapore_ASM_2007
The 2008 AST schedule will see the
staging of the 2nd edition of the ASM_@_Phuket
again in April to be followed by the annual ASM_@_Taiwan
the ASM_@_Malaysia
and ending with the second edition of the AIA
Singapore Asian Senior Masters 2008
Once again the AIA Singapore Asian
Senior Masters 2008 will host past Singapore,
Malaysia, and Asian Open Champions including leading
golfers and past Malaysian Open Champions from the
European Seniors Tour Terry_Gale,
Brian_Jones
along with other worthy contenders from around the world and
Malaysia based Stewart_Ginn
a regular on the EST's Leader Board and Order of
Merit and a veteran of the US Champions Tour.
Asian players include Taiwan's Legendry
Hsieh_Min_Nan, along with country men Choi Yoon Soo,
Chen Tse-Ming, Hsu Chi-San, Chen Tsang Te, Chung Chun Hsing
and Kuo Chi-Hsiung and from MALAYSIA M Ramayah, V.
Nellan and Abdul Latiff Mahmood joined by E. Nival
(Philippines), Sukiree Oncham (Thailand), and
Choi_Sang-ho (Korea) whos victory at the 2005 Maekyung
Open made him the oldest winner on the Asian Tour.
The AIA Singapore ASM 2008 - Professional
Tournament will be preceded by 6 AIA Singapore ASM
Pro-Am's each staged as a 32 flight tournament, played in
4 ball flights, comprising 3 Amateur golfers and 1
AST Senior Professional, conducted from 7.30am
and 1pm Shotgun Starts on Tues, Wed and Thurs where
avid golfers will have the opportunity to share their experience
with golfing friends, and clients accompanied by an AST
Senior Pro.
Individual entries and places in the
AIA Singapore ASM Pro-Ams cost SG$_888_@_US$_550
each subject to availability. Priority will be awarded
to our regular amateur entries and amateur golfers accompanying,
sponsoring & supporting AST senior Pros

per team and include 1 On-Course 3m x 1m sign board, invitations
to the ASM Welcome Cocktail Reception, pre & post meals

Each of the 6 AIA Singapore ASM 2008
Pro-Ams to be staged will feature a Team
Competition, and the team's score for each hole will
be the AST Professional's plus the 2 best gross
scores' achieved for each hole from the 3 amateurs in
the team / flight.
There will also be a Men's Open Competition where the
top 9 lowest gross scoring golfers plus the leading
Lady, Junior & Senior golfer from each of the AIA
Singapore ASM Pro-Ams who will all qualify and secure
places in the AIA Singapore ASM 2008 Amateur Semi-Finals.
In order to cater to overseas based amateur
golfers, many who will be accompanying participating AST senior
professional, we have created various AIA
Singapore ASM - Pro-Am and Social Golf Packages

Qualifier
Individual places, 2 man teams & 4 ball flights may be
purchased in the Amateur Pro-Am Qualifier
to be staged on Mon 20 Oct 2008 from a 1pm T-Off
the event will be played OFF THE STICK catering
for up to 128 participants. The 9 "best gross" scoring
individuals and the Champion & Runner up 2 man team will
secure places in the AIA Singapore ASM Pro-Am on Thurs
23 Oct 2008 from a 7.30am T-Off
AIA Singapore ASM 2008 Amateur Pro-Am
Qualifier - entry cost:
A 4 ball flights in the SGD$ 900
A two ball team cost SGD$ 500
individual entries cost SGD$ 280
AIA Singapore ASM Pro-Ams
and the Amateur Pro-Am Qualifier events are
open to both male and female participants who must be at least
12 years of age and posses valid golf handicap. All participants
are invited to attend the ASM Welcome Cocktail Reception
to be held on Monday 20 Oct 2008 commencing
at 8.00pm
AIA Singapore ASM 2008 Amateur Semi-Finals
will be contested on the Friday and Saturday
in conjunction with the first two days of the AIA
Singapore ASM 2008 professional tournament
As has been the case at previous
Asian Senior Master tournaments up to 80 leading
amateur golfers, 40 each day will qualify to compete in the
Amateur Semi-Finals along side 3 AST's Senior Professional
golfers in 4 ball flights comprising 3 AST Pros & 1 amateur
on the first two days of the AIA Singapore ASM 2008
professional tournament
On Sunday, the AIA
Singapore ASM 2008 will feature the top 3
best gross scoring amateur golfers from the Amateur
Semi-Finals staged on Friday and Saturday and
6 amateur finalists will compete in the AIA Singapore
ASM 2008 Amateur Finals T-ing Off on Sunday at 7am
prior to the final day of AIA Singapore ASM 2008
Pro Tournament.
All ties in both the AIA Singapore
ASM 2008 Pro Tournament and the Amateur
Finals will be decided by a sudden death play off
