by the inaugural
ASM @ East Malaysia (Sabah) - Invitational presented
by the Oxley Capital Group from 15th - 17th December

ASM tournaments incorporate up to 6 ASM Pro-Ams
which are staged prior to the 3 day - 54 hole ASM Professional
Tournament.
The 9 best gross scoring amateur golfers
from each of the ASM Pro-Ams will compete in the ASM
Amateur Semi-Finals staged during the first 2 days of
the ASM Professional Tournament.
The Asian Senior Master's event is the
only professional golf tournament which allows the region’s
leading amateur golfers, amongst them our many regular amateurs
fro the Philippines, Thailand's, Indonesia's, Malaysia's,
and Singapore’s to compete in the ASM Amateur Semi-Finals
playing alongside 3 AST senior professional golfers
during the first 2 days of the ASM Professional Tournament.
The top 3 amateurs from each ASM Amateur Semi-Final
will contest the ASM Amateur Finals to be staged on
the Sunday T-ing Off prior to the final day of the ASM
@ Singapore 2008 Professional Tournament.

The AST was established at a meeting with
senior professional golfers representing various PGAs
during the inaugural 2003 ASM
@ Singapore staged in November 2003 at the
Jurong Country Club.

Since its humble beginning, in 2003 the AST
have gone on to stage the annual ASM @ Taiwan, ASM @ Malaysia,
and ASM @ Singapore and the Bi-Annual ASM @ Phuket
and since 2007 the annual ASM @ Indonesia
From the initial 70 senior professional golfers who contested
the inaugural ASM @ Singapore 2003 the AST has
grow and now includes representatives from over 20 countries,
and to date has more than 380 senior professionals from all
over the world participate in our ASM events.

The AST's 2009 season began in July 09 with
the staging of the 5th edition of the annual US$
100,000 Asian Senior Masters @ Malaysia from 8th -
15th Jul 09 again at Tasik
Puteri Golf & Country Club and was followed by the
2nd edition of the ASM
@ Indonesia (Batam) Invitational staged at the Tering
Bay Golf & Country Club - Batam Indonesia from
17th - 19 July 09.
The 7th edition of the annual ASM
@ Taiwan event will be staged at the Miramar Golf
& Country Club from the 8th - 10th October 2009.
In December 09 the after Oxley Capital Group's ASM @ Singapore
2009 which offers a US$ 100,000 purse this will
be followed by the AST's staging of the inaugural editions
of the
US$
50,000 purse ASM @ Brunei presented by the Oxley
Capital Group

what the AST and the Asian Senior Masters event
